SNIA Europe - Storage Networking World Orlando (October 2002)

The Storage Networking Industry Association Europe’s (SNIA-E) primary focus was on education and marketing, the idea of co-funding a trip to share costs of a press tour to a leading US storage networking event was explored. The key objectives were to: raise awareness of the SNIA-E and give benefits of increased awareness to participating member sponsors; coverage for the SNIA-E and it’s co-sponsored event Storage Networking World; raise awareness of the European activities to the US based teams.

Omarketing approached the SNIA-E membership to sponsor the press trip. Seven European journalists were funded on the trip as well as contact with two others who were travelling there independently. It raised the profile of the SNIA-E, members and the SNW event in the eyes of other key press who unfortunately could not make the trip.
